Dear esteemed Honours College scholars,

It is with great pleasure and excitement that I come to serve with you as the new Head of Honours College at our prestigious university. I am honoured to have been chosen to lead this department and work alongside such dedicated and talented individual scholars and keep UCU as the Centre of Excellence in the Heart of Africa.

As we embark on this new journey together, I am committed to upholding the high standards of excellence that the Honours College is known for. My goal is to foster a supportive and stimulating environment where everyone can thrive academically and personally.

Leadership

Opportunities for advanced assignments, interdisciplinary studies, research, and academic discussions enhance leadership in the Honours College. Interaction with  scholars, professionals, and academicians.

Service

Honours College students participate in retreats, internal and external service projects, and community outreach to other schools and community centers. All aimed at developing Christian Leadership.

Mentorship

Mentoring is a part of the discipleship process.  It encompasses the entirety of the Church’s mission. Christ calls us to encourage and equip people so that we can all worship Christ and thus live out a real Christian life

UCU is a leader in online distance learning (ODL). We have been consistently teaching throughout this COVID time, whether fully online or in a blended capacity, so our students’ learning has been able to continue uninterrupted. We have been able to conduct our take-home and online exams uninterrupted. All this is possible only through our commitment to the technology, using tools such as Moodle, Zoom, and BigBlueButton, but also through our commitment to our students. We are committed to  using the available technology to build community, to provide a quality education and equip our students for productive and holistic lives of Christian faith and service.
